LexLey Worldwide is founded with the aim to offer legal advice to local companies with international exposure, and foreign companies entering the local market, that seek international specialized, innovative and strategic legal advice.

The firm is composed by a team of professionals and associated lawyers located in several jurisdictions around the globe, with the purpose to create international alliances and offer global legal services to its clients. 

Belen Martin Rial, founding partner, is a Spanish and US lawyer, admitted to the New York Bar in 1998 after obtaining a Master Degree in Banking, Corporate and Finance at Fordham University Law School in New York. She has a JD in Law from the Central University of Barcelona (Spain). 

She is passionate about the internationalization of businesses, her professional career is focused in representing local and foreing companies in corporate and commercial matters. She has worked in Spain and the US. 

In 1999, she joined the firm Donahue & Partners LLP (associated with Ernst & Young) in New York as Senior Associate, as part of the Spanish desk, managing and implementing corporate restructuring and reorganization transactions, also representing US multinationals with commercial interests in Spain in matters related to corporate law and financing.  Prior to that, in 1995 she joined the Intellectual Property Department of  the US firm Anderson Kill & Olick LLC in New York, as Foreign Legal Consultant, where she offered legal advise to European and US companies in regards to trademark protection and registration in the US and Europe. It was also actively involved in legal proceedings concerning trademark infringement and unfair competition before the US Courts. She participated as speaker in seminars in the Spain-US Camber of Commerce in New York on topics related to protection of trademark rights and distribución of products. 

Back in Spain, she worked at international and boutique firms, Baker & Mckenzie, Ernst & Young, Bufete Plana, as Senior Associate in the M&A and Corporate Department, where she participated in due diligence and M&A transactions representing foreign and local companies in different industries, and led the corporate practice, negotiating and closing commercial contracts and creating the Information Tecnology/Data Privacy Group. She also provided advice and executes real estate transactions and foreign investments matters.

In 2010, she became Legal Director of the Spanish boutique firm Silchris Asesores Legales y Tributarios, where she led the Insolvency and Restructuring Group, handling the insolvency proceedings of the firm, was appointed as Bankruptcy Administrator, she also represented Spanish companies in the negotiation and closing of international franchise and distribution agreements and implemented and managed restructuring transactions. Furthermore, she rendered services as legal counsel part of the International Group in Spain of a US publicly traded company in the technology and human capital management sector, negotiating complex outsourcing contracts and providing legal support to the different business units in matters related to data privacy, contracts and corporate law.
